The Ring my mother wore

Is another short story about a young man, Michael Kennedy who had no choice but to emigrate from

Ireland to New York. The agricultural industry went into decline in the early 50’s. He came home for his mothers funeral, and uncovered a secret.

It was his mother’s funeral. When he couldn’t attend the service for his late father, he was determined to make the trip home. He arrived back in the West of Ireland. The local priest gave him a letter from his mother. In the letter was a secret kept hidden for years. What was the secret?
